Key Capital in the pool of investors of the space software Italian startup Leaf Space

Leaf Space, a Milan, Italy-based software platform that aims to facilitate access to space data to microsatellite operators, raised €1m in venture capital funding.

The round was led by RedSeed Ventures with participation from Como Venture, Key Capital, PoliHub, among others.

The company intends to use the funds to launch its first solution, Leaf Line, and other dedicated services.

Co-founded in 2014 by Jonata Puglia, Michele Messina, Giovanni Pandolfi, Matteo Boiocchi and Caterina Siclari, Leaf Space is advancing Leaf Line, a TLC service exclusively dedicated to allowing private microsatellite operators to access space data for such applications as marine traffic tracking, deforestation control, precison agriculture, natural disasters, air pollution, illegal spills, sea search and rescue.
The company was accelerated within Turin-based I3P in 2015.
